Anyone who meets me quickly learns one thing. I am completely obsessed with my family. My husband and my children are my greatest success. At this stage of my life, nothing matters more to me than being a really good mom. I strive to be intentional, caring, and present for my children, while also being the most supportive partner I can be to my husband. Everything else comes second.
My life has been shaped by movement and adventure. I was born in Tanzania, moved to the UK when I was four, and then to Vancouver, BC at thirteen. In 2015, I returned to Tanzania for work, and in 2025, I found myself back in Canada, bringing my journey full circle.

These moves were more than changes of address. They shaped who I am. Growing up between cultures taught me adaptability, resilience, and a deep appreciation for diversity. Each place left its mark on me. The UK gave me my early foundation, Vancouver shaped my teenage years, and Tanzania reconnected me with my roots, where I eventually found myself working in conservation.
I am deeply grateful to God for every season of my life. There have been incredible highs and some of the lowest lows, but with hindsight, I know I had to experience it all to become the woman I am today. Those challenges taught me empathy. The joyful moments taught me gratitude. Together, they shaped me into someone who strives to live with kindness, compassion, and purpose every single day.
Those same values are what quietly shaped Harmony & Jay. The brand did not come from a business plan but from my home and the way I care for my family. It reflects my belief in simplicity, trust, and doing things with intention rather than urgency.
People often ask how I balance work and business with family life. The truth is that balance, for me, comes from clarity. I know what matters most. I protect my time, I stay present where my feet are, and I am comfortable saying no when something does not align with my values.
My husband has been my rock throughout this journey. Long before we had children, he called me Mama Harmony. He saw that nurturing spirit in me before I fully recognised it myself, and his support has been unwavering as we have built our life together.
A few things you might not know about me. I am terribly afraid of cats. I would genuinely rather be in a room with lions than one cat, which feels ironic given my career. I have worked in conservation for the past ten years, and it remains the most impactful experience in my life to date. I have lived on three continents, and each place feels like home in its own way.
Every day is an opportunity to grow, to give, and to make a positive impact. Whether that is through my work, my community, or most importantly, in my home, I am grateful for the journey so far and excited for what is still ahead.
